My main two therapist were Ashley and Jeff, both worked with me to help me accomplish my goals, which was to give me more mobility in my shoulder and build my strength back up and that's where I am today.They were pleasant to work with and enjoyed spending my time with them while getting my therapy. I just wanted to say thank you all for helping me get back where I needed to be. If I do know anyone who needs physical therapy I would highly recommend first settlement physical therapy in Vienna. I found First Settlement Physical Therapy in Vienna WV to be top-notch in every respect.  I was being treated for limited mobility in my right leg and foot due to severe sciatica nerve pain.  The Physical Therapists at this location began by performing diagnostic maneuvers, then built a custom regimen of specific movements and exercises which are always guided by their skilled assistants.  I was also given an app which guides me through a comprehensive personal exercise program I can do at home between my clinical visits.  I have found everyone at this facility to be very professional and super friendly.  After 8 weeks of treatment, my pain level has been reduced from 7 to 1. I just finished my last therapy session at FSPT yesterday at the Vienna FSPT. I feel so much better after all of my sessions. Each therapist that I had over the last couple of months were so nice and so caring. They each explained the exercises so well to me. The therapists are wonderful ! When I first got physical therapy after a long road from having back surgery, I started physical therapy not knowing if I would ever be able to walk or do it again. But with constantly going to physical therapy every other day, I not only was I able to retire my walker and Cain , I can now walk again and have more strength and flexibility than before. I love this place it's so relaxing there. The staff is so calm and nice and helpful. They really take the time and work around your schedule. They explain things very well. I was very surprised at how much physical therapy helped me with my broken arm. They have helped me progress so much faster in the healing process. When I started going to First Settlement Physical Therapy, I was only able to walk for 52 seconds. Our goal was to increase walking and get back to Pilates.  I saw several therapists during the past few months who watched my form and breath control on each exercise. Many of the exercises were challenging at first. Now I’m back into Pilates. I'll start by saying that needing physical therapy is never a fun position to be in. I hurt my finger at work and was referred to Hema and her team by my orthopedic surgeon. I went twice a week for 4 months. Not gonna lie, it hurt, but my injury was a difficult one. Hema and Justin were very motivated to get results and we did. It was my decision to stop the therapy but I would have continued under different circumstances because I fully believe they would've gotten to the goal they set in the beginning. While I primarily worked with Hema and Justin I observed every employee with other patients and they seemed wonderful! The physical therapists at FSPT were incredible! They did an initial evaluation after my surgery. They determined what I needed to return to pre-surgery condition. Lisa & her team are very dedicated and thorough. I was seen for tennis elbow, which resulted on top of carpal tunnel syndrome (very painful). The team I worked with at FSPT (Vienna) were some of the sweetest people I've met. They worked and communicated well amongst themselves in order to help me progress in my therapy goals. My experience was wonderfull!  Went there for therapy after a stroke and Justin along with some of the other therapists, were patient with me, took their time to show me how to do everything properly. I returned again this year 2023 to get therapy on my knee.  I had a bad experience with the surgery that was done on it.  I walked with a brace and a cane for over 4 years.  The orthopedic doctor suggested doing therapy.  From the end of August until Oct 31, I graduated again.  All the hard work and my awesome therapist Justin, I am walking without my brace and cane.  My legs are incredibly strong and I feel like  nothing ever happened!!!! I am so happy to have had my therapy with First Settlement Physical therapy in Vienna WV.  I wouldn't trust anyone else but them.  I get a little emotional thinking I'm back to good health again because of them!!!  I'm going to keep up with my program so I can continue with good health. I went to First Settlement for PT after I broke my wrist in January. I  really enjoyed working with the many physical therapists there. They are all so personable and professional. I looked forward to Hama's evaluations to see how much progress I had made toward improving my flexibility and strength in my right wrist. All the staff from check in to the ones working with you are very friendly. They seem very concern and try to target your issues head on & make sure you're comfortable & if they see you struggling or in pain, they let you take a breather or go to something maybe a little bit easier. Your first days they will do beginner stuff to see how you are and what you can do and then over time they try to teach you how to properly stand or sit up or breathe, etc. They're trying to strengthen your core and whole body so you can manage everyday task a little bit easier and not make anything worse. I am extremely grateful for all the staff at First Settlement Physical Therapy in Vienna.  When I first went to FS, I was having extreme difficulty walking due to lower back issues.  Within just a few appointments working with Curtis, I was able to walk with ease again.  He introduced me to a type of resistance stretching that seemed like magic in restoring flexibility and mobility, although he assured me it is all based in science!  He has also provided me with clear instructions for a home plan I can do in conjunction with office visits.  All of the staff I’ve worked with are  knowledgeable, encouraging, and committed to helping me reach my goals.  I appreciate each and every one of these wonderful folks. I had surgery for a broken kneecap and was quite weak when I started. I went in barely out of a wheelchair and using a walker. Today I walked out carrying a cane but not really using it. They are so good. My family was so impressed with my improvement.  And I’m 75! Can’t say enough about how nice everyone was.  And extremely competent . Also I had an attack of vertigo (first time ever). And Lisa got me through that with neck manipulations. If you need physical therapy that is a terrific place to go. I am so thankful for Sammi at fspt. She gives me confidence and good encouragement as I am getting stronger in the areas I need strength in. I have learned so much already about the affects postpartum has on a women's body after child birth. I feel every women should be recommended to go see Sammi and learn the techniques to get better. Our bodies as women get put through a lot during and pregnancy that can cause many affects to us later in life. I highly recommend her and fspt for anyone's needs. Have had many back and neck surgeries over the years and was not doing much during that time and they helped me get back in shape.  Great place to go to if you need physical theory. You are seen at your scheduled time and your treatment plan is followed and evaluated regularly. First settlement is the only physical therapy office I trust my body with. The staff is incredible and make you feel like you are right at home. They got me scheduled with my first appointment within days of my doctor calling. First settlement makes you feel like someone cares not just about your injury but they care about your family. I'm giving first settlement five stars because i have been in physical therapy on and off for four years and out of all of the other places I showed improvement here.
