What is Pelvic Pain?

Pelvic pain refers to discomfort felt anywhere in the lower abdomen, pelvis, or pelvic floor muscles. It may feel sharp, dull, achy, or tight and it can come and go or show up during certain activities like sitting, standing, exercise, or intimacy. What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your first visit will take place in a private treatment room with one of our female physical therapists and typically lasts about an hour. During this session, your therapist will spend time discussing your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle to fully understand your concerns.

A physical evaluation will follow, focusing on posture, movement, and the hips, back, and surrounding areas, with explanations provided throughout. In some cases, an internal pelvic floor exam may be recommended. This is a hands-on assessment performed without tools to better evaluate pelvic floor muscle strength and flexibility and is only done with your consent.

After the evaluation, your therapist will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and goals.
